2 Timothy 3
1 But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty.2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,3 heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good,4 treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,5 having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.6 For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions,7 always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind and disqualified regarding the faith.9 But they will not get very far, for their folly will be plain to all, as was that of those two men.10 You, however, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness,11 my persecutions and sufferings that happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra—which persecutions I endured; yet from them all the Lord rescued me.12 Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,13 while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it15 and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,17 that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.
Colossians 4
1 Señores, den a sus esclavos lo que sea justo y equitativo, sabiendo que también ustedes tienen un Señor en el cielo.2 Perseveren en la oración con espíritu vigilante y agradecido.3 Oren también por nosotros, a fin de que el Señor nos facilite la tarea de anunciar el plan salvífico de Dios en Cristo, por el cual yo estoy encadenado,4 y pueda darlo a conocer con las palabras oportunas.5 Pórtense sabiamente con los no cristianos y aprovechen el momento presente.6 En su conversación sean siempre amables y simpáticos, de modo que sepan responder a cada uno como conviene.7 De mi situación les informará Tíquico, el hermano querido, servidor fiel y compañero en el Señor,8 a quien envío expresamente para que les dé noticias de nuestra situación y los anime.9 Con él mando a Onésimo, hermano también fiel y querido, que es compatriota de ustedes. Ellos les informarán de cuanto sucede por aquí.10 Los saluda Aristarco, mi compañero de prisión, y Marcos, el primo de Bernabé. Si Marcos va a visitarlos, recíbanlo con cariño, según las instrucciones que les dí.11 Los saluda Jesús, de sobrenombre Justo. De los convertidos del judaísmo, sólo éstos trabajan conmigo por el reino de Dios y me han proporcionado mucho consuelo.12 Saludos también de Epafras, compatriota de ustedes y siervo de Cristo Jesús, que ruega constantemente por ustedes para que se mantengan firmes en el pleno y perfecto cumplimiento de la voluntad de Dios.13 Soy testigo de que se preocupa mucho por ustedes y también por los de Laodicea y Hierápolis.14 Los saludan finalmente Lucas, el médico tan querido, y Dimas.15 Saluden a los hermanos de Laodicea, a Ninfa y a la iglesia que se reúne en su casa.16 Cuando hayan leído esta carta, procuren que se lea también en la iglesia de Laodicea; y la que envié a los de Laodicea, léanla también ustedes.17 Digan a Arquipo que atienda y desempeñe con esmero el ministerio que ha recibido del Señor.18 El saludo final es de mi puño y letra: Pablo.
