46 Surgió entre los discípulos una discusión sobre quién sería el más importante.47 Jesús, al darse cuenta de la discusión, tomó a un niño, lo puso a su lado48 y les dijo: –El que recibe a este niño en mi nombre, a mí me recibe; y el que me recibe a mí, recibe al que me ha enviado, porque el más pequeño entre ustedes es el más importante.

33 And they came to Capernaum. And when he was in the house he asked them, “What were you discussing on the way?”34 But they kept silent, for on the way they had argued with one another about who was the greatest.35 And he sat down and called the twelve. And he said to them, “If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.”36 And he took a child and put him in the midst of them, and taking him in his arms, he said to them,37 “Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me, receives not me but him who sent me.”

1 En aquel momento se acercaron los discípulos a Jesús y le dijeron: –¿Quién es el más importante en el reino de los cielos?2 El llamó a un niño, lo puso en medio de ellos3 y dijo: –Les aseguro que si no cambian y se hacen como los niños no entrarán en el reino de los cielos.4 El que se haga pequeño como este niño, ése es el mayor en el reino de los cielos.5 El que recibe a un niño como éste en mi nombre, a mí me recibe.
