12 The next day the large crowd that had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem.13 So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying out, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!”14 And Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, just as it is written,15 “Fear not, daughter of Zion; behold, your king is coming, sitting on a donkey's colt!”16 His disciples did not understand these things at first, but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things had been written about him and had been done to him.17 The crowd that had been with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to bear witness.18 The reason why the crowd went to meet him was that they heard he had done this sign.19 So the Pharisees said to one another, “You see that you are gaining nothing. Look, the world has gone after him.”
Luke 19
28 And when he had said these things, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.29 When he drew near to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount that is called Olivet, he sent two of the disciples,30 saying, “Go into the village in front of you, where on entering you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever yet sat. Untie it and bring it here.31 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ you shall say this: ‘The Lord has need of it.’”32 So those who were sent went away and found it just as he had told them.33 And as they were untying the colt, its owners said to them, “Why are you untying the colt?”34 And they said, “The Lord has need of it.”35 And they brought it to Jesus, and throwing their cloaks on the colt, they set Jesus on it.36 And as he rode along, they spread their cloaks on the road.37 As he was drawing near—already on the way down the Mount of Olives—the whole multitude of his disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen,38 saying, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”39 And some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples.”40 He answered, “I tell you, if these were silent, the very stones would cry out.”41 And when he drew near and saw the city, he wept over it,42 saying, “Would that you, even you, had known on this day the things that make for peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.43 For the days will come upon you, when your enemies will set up a barricade around you and surround you and hem you in on every side44 and tear you down to the ground, you and your children within you. And they will not leave one stone upon another in you, because you did not know the time of your visitation.”
Mark 11
1 Cuando se acercaban a Jerusalén, a la altura de Betfagé y Betania, junto al monte de los Olivos, Jesús envió a dos de sus discípulos2 con este encargo: –Vayan al poblado de enfrente. Al entrar en él, encontrarán en seguida un borrico atado, sobre el que nadie ha montado todavía. Desátenlo y tráiganlo.3 Y si alguien les pregunta por qué lo hacen, díganle que el Señor lo necesita y que en seguida lo devolverá.4 Los discípulos fueron, encontraron un borrico atado junto a la puerta, afuera, en la calle, y lo desataron.5 Algunos de los que estaban allí les preguntaron: –¿Por qué desatan el borrico?6 Los discípulos les contestaron como les había dicho Jesús, y ellos los dejaron.7 Llevaron el borrico, echaron encima sus mantos, y Jesús montó en él.8 Muchos extendieron sus mantos por el camino y otros hacían lo mismo con ramas que cortaban en el campo.9 Los que iban adelante y atrás gritaban: –¡Hosanna! ¡Bendito el que viene en nombre del Señor!10 ¡Bendito el reino que viene, el de nuestro padre David! ¡Hosanna en las alturas!11 Cuando Jesús entró en Jerusalén, fue al templo y observó todo a su alrededor, pero como ya era tarde, se fue a Betania con los Doce.
Matthew 21
1 Cerca ya de Jerusalén, al llegar a Betfagé, en las proximidades del monte de los Olivos, Jesús envió a dos discípulos2 con este encargo: –Vayan al poblado de enfrente; al entrar, encontrarán una burra atada con su borrico al lado; desátenlos y tráiganmelos.3 Y si alguien les dice algo, dirán que el Señor los necesita, pero que en seguida los devolverá.4 Esto sucedió para que se cumpliera lo que dice el profeta:5 Digan a la hija de Sión: Mira, tu rey viene a ti, humilde y sentado en un burro, en un borrico, cría de un animal de carga.6 Los discípulos fueron e hicieron lo que Jesús les mandó:7 trajeron la burra y el borrico; pusieron sobre ellos los mantos, y él montó encima.8 El gentío, que era muy numeroso, extendía sus mantos en el camino; otros cortaban ramas de árboles y las extendían por el camino.9 Y la gente que iba adelante y atrás gritaba: Hosanna al Hijo de David, bendito el que viene en nombre del Señor. Hosanna en las alturas.10 Al entrar Jesús en Jerusalén, toda la ciudad se alarmó y se preguntaban: –¿Quién es éste?11 La gente respondía: –Es el profeta Jesús, el de Nazaret de Galilea.
